Beau Soir - Omri Reitman

Choreography: Omri Reitman

Dancers: Omri Reitman and Sivan Peled

Artistic advisor: Yael Venezia

Music is around us all the time.

When was the last time you really listened to it? To its notes?

When did you allow yourself to use all of it to create a movement? To create a whole dance?

In this work I have built a system of rules based on the complete Beau Soir musical score by Claude Debussy.

The piece allows the audience to jump between worlds – the world of music and the world of dance, thus experiencing a new world where music dictates the movement of the dancers. The dancers in this piece do not dance to the composer’s melody – rather, the notes are being played on their own bodies.
