Kaleidoscope (from the Ancient Greek: seeing beautiful shapes)

Game as performance has existed as a cultural phenomenon for thousands of years. It reappeared in contemporary dance art in the 1960s in the US, in the works of Anna Halprin, Simone Forti, Yvonne Rainer, Steve Paxton and others.

Each game has rules of its own, which plunge the dancers into a chain of unexpected events as they confront one another. Reactions, courses and combinations of movement are exposed and discovered, a surprise for the viewer and dancer alike.

Tami Lebovits has been creating works for the stage since 2006. She is a graduate of the School of Visual Theatre in Jerusalem and Kelim Center for Choreography. Tami is a member of Ensemble 209 in Performance Art Platform, and regularly collaborates with artists Irit Erez, Guy Gutman, Anat Danieli and others.

Dotan Dvir holds a BA in movement from the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance. She is a graduate of “Hakvutza” School for Movement and Dance and of the Haifa Dance Workshop for Dancers and Choreographers.

Moshe Shechter Avshalom works in collaboration with independent choreographers and theatrical artists. He is founder and co-artistic director of the “Diver” Festival and various dance programs.

Christina Ciupke is a Berlin based dancer and choreographer, performing her works throughout Europe. Since 1999 she has been developing and creating projects in collaboration with various artists: choreographs Nik Haffner and Mart Kangro, filmmaker Lucy Cash, visual artist Lars ø Ramberg, composer Boris Hauf and dramaturge Igor Dobricic. In 2003-2004 she was guest artist at the Center for Art and Media (ZKM) in Karlsruhe. In 2013 she received her MA of Choreography from the Amsterdam School of the Arts.

Assaf Lederman is an independent dancer and artist. He is a graduate of the Department of Movement and the Choreography Program at the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance.

Anat Shamgar performs her solo works and collaborates with other artists since 1988.
She is a member of the Faculty of Dance in the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance since 1991.
