The poet Zali Gurevitch will recite excerpts from his book This and That (1996), poems that were written in the spirit of children’s rhymes with simple rhythms like swinging side to side. In these poems, dance is intrinsic even if it is done by words and not the body. The poem dances without ever moving from its spot.
Professor Amos Hetz on the commonality between Nijinsky’s Afternoon of a Faun (Mallarme- Debussy) and Noa Eshkol’s Jacob, Rachel and Leah (The lecture will be accompanied by a video screening).
