The Project of Internal Withdrawal – Ehud Darash

Composition and dance: Ehud Darash

This choreographic work offers a practice of withdrawal, in which the objects that are being built reveal the subject’s limitations. In practical terms, it is made out of repetitious placing, scattering, signing and collection, each of them challenging its performance in its own way. A little more practically, it’s about the attempt to control the desire to control. Actually, it’s about addiction.

Ehud Darash began his investigations of movement in 2000. He studied in Ga’aton, obtained his BA from Berlin’s HZT, danced, choreographed and taught in Europe until 2012. Today heis studying to become a movement therapist in Seminar Hakibbutzim.
